Key Responsibilities
Interns may support several functional areas depending on organizational needs:
Communications and Digital Media
- Draft and edit content for websites, newsletters, and social media
- Support digital campaigns and storytelling initiatives
- Assist with content scheduling, monitoring, and reporting
Editorial and Publishing Support
- Assist in drafting articles, news pieces, and reports
- Support editorial review and content coordination
- Help update and manage online communication platforms
Press and Public Engagement
- Assist in preparing press materials and media briefs
- Support press monitoring and public information activities
- Contribute to communication around UNESCO events and initiatives
Visual and Multimedia Content
- Support photo and video documentation
- Assist with branding and quality control of communication materials
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria at the time of application:
- Currently enrolled in the final year of a Bachelor’s degree
- Enrolled in a Master’s or Doctoral programme
- Recently graduated (within the last 12 months) from a recognized academic institution
Skills and Competencies
Language Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of English or French
- Knowledge of the second language is an advantage
- Additional UN languages are beneficial
Professional Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to work independently and in teams
- Cultural sensitivity and adaptability
Desirable Background
