UNDP Is Hiring a Home-Based Partnership and Coordination Officer
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is inviting applications for the role of Partnership and Coordination Officer to support the Global Disability Fund (GDF). This is a home-based international position, open to external applicants, and based administratively in New York, United States. The role is offered under an International Personnel Service Agreement (IPSA-9) with an initial one-year contract.

About the Global Disability Fund
The Global Disability Fund is a multi-partner trust fund dedicated to advancing disability-inclusive development worldwide. It supports the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development by providing technical assistance, policy guidance, and financial support to governments, UN agencies, civil society organizations, and private sector partners.
Hosted within UNDP’s Bureau for Policy and Programme Support (BPPS) under the Governance Practice Area, the GDF operates under its own Strategic Plan and annual work programme approved by a Steering Committee. As part of its new strategic direction, the Fund is expanding its partnerships and strengthening collaboration with global organizations of persons with disabilities, including the International Disability Alliance.

Role Purpose
The Partnership and Coordination Officer will provide essential support to the GDF Director and Secretariat, ensuring effective coordination of partnerships, donor relations, programme implementation, and administrative processes. This is a support-level role designed for a highly organized, proactive professional capable of managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, international environment.
The position reports to the GDF Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Specialist and plays a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and strategic engagement.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Partnership Development and Donor Engagement
- Conduct research and analysis to identify partnership and funding opportunities
- Support donor mapping, profiling, and relationship management
- Assist in drafting and revising partnership agreements and memoranda
- Maintain and regularly update donor and partner databases
- Support donor communications, acknowledgements, follow-ups, and scheduling
- Assist in organizing donor briefings, webinars, roundtables, and visibility events
Programme Coordination and Workplan Monitoring
- Track progress against annual workplans and implementation timelines
- Support coordination across Secretariat activities and programme delivery
- Prepare background notes, talking points, and briefing materials
- Document meetings, retreats, and internal discussions, tracking action points
Support to Leadership and Governance
- Assist with the Director’s participation in external engagements and events
- Maintain calendars of strategic opportunities and meetings
- Organize GDF Board meetings, including logistics, documentation, and follow-up
Administrative and Procurement Support
- Support procurement processes in line with UNDP procedures
- Assist with drafting Terms of Reference and reviewing applications
- Coordinate logistics for high-level meetings, workshops, and events
Required Qualifications and Experience
Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
- Master’s degree in Administration, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field with at least two years of relevant experience, or
- Bachelor’s degree with at least four years of relevant experience
Required Experience Includes:
- Programme coordination or partnership support in international development
- Donor engagement or business development activities
- Communications support for high-level meetings and events
- Administrative and procurement support within large organizations
Experience with UN agencies, multilateral organizations, disability rights frameworks, or inclusive development initiatives is highly desirable.
Languages and Travel
- Fluency in English is required
- Knowledge of French and/or Spanish is an advantage
- Any official travel related to the role will be fully covered
