Internship Overview

The Crop Inputs Summer Internship is a paid, full-time, 16-week program running throughout the summer months. Interns are placed across multiple locations in Alberta, offering exposure to both rural and regional agricultural operations.

Interns rotate through different business areas, gaining a well-rounded understanding of crop inputs, agronomy, retail operations, and grain handling — all while working directly with experienced teams.


Key Responsibilities & Learning Areas

Agronomy & Crop Support

  • Identify weeds, crop diseases, insects, and nutrient deficiencies
  • Support agronomy demonstration trials and field activities
  • Assist in planning and executing grower meetings and customer events
  • Learn crop protection and crop nutrition best practices

Crop Inputs & Retail Operations

  • Assist with fertilizer and crop protection product handling
  • Support receiving, shipping, and inventory management
  • Learn safe handling procedures for agricultural inputs
  • Work with sales and retail teams to support customer needs

Grain & Facility Operations

  • Gain hands-on exposure to grain elevator operations
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks and railcars
  • Support daily operational and maintenance activities
  • Learn grain quality standards and logistics processes

Who Should Apply?

Estimated Salary & Compensation

Estimated Hourly Salary:
💵 USD 21.00 – USD 29.00 per hour

Estimated Monthly Earnings:
💵 USD 3,360 – USD 4,640 (based on full-time hours)
