The Role: What You’ll Do
As a Supply Chain Intern, you’ll play a direct role in helping Cargill deliver high-quality products safely, efficiently, and sustainably. Interns assist with sourcing strategies, inventory planning, cost optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives. You’ll learn how global supply chains operate while working on impactful, real-world business challenges.
You’ll be placed in one of several high-value focus areas:
Supply Chain Planning
Support demand planning, inventory management, scheduling, and cross-functional coordination. Your work will help ensure products move seamlessly from production to delivery.
Transportation & Logistics
Gain exposure to transportation coordination, equipment management, freight analysis, deployment, and customer service. You’ll see firsthand how goods move across networks and how decisions influence costs and customer satisfaction.

Sourcing & Procurement
Work with strategic sourcing teams to analyze supplier data, conduct market research, and support sourcing strategies. You’ll strengthen your financial, analytical, and relationship-building skills.

Internship Requirements
To qualify, you must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, procurement, engineering, finance, economics, MIS, or a related business field. Candidates should be graduating between December 2026 and spring 2027, legally authorized to work in the U.S., and willing to relocate to Wichita, Kansas. A strong sense of initiative, problem-solving ability, and comfort working with diverse teams is essential.
Preferred qualifications include a minimum 3.0 GPA, prior internship experience, strong communication skills, and demonstrated leadership potential.
