Role Overview: Project Management Support – Analyst (Grant)

The Analyst will work under the supervision of the Transactional Portfolio Manager or Project Management Senior Officer, supporting effective and efficient delivery of grants projects. The role is essential in ensuring that donor-funded activities meet organizational standards and compliance requirements.

Assignments vary widely—ranging from short engagements of a few hours to several weeks or months—depending on project needs. While most tasks are home-based, some may require presence in UNOPS offices or field locations.


Key Responsibilities

1. Grant Management

  • Support the implementation of grants projects aligned with donor rules and organizational procedures.
  • Monitor grant activities, ensuring compliance with reporting, financial tracking, and documentation standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of grant agreements, budgets, and amendments.

2. Due Diligence

  • Conduct thorough checks on implementing partners and project components.
  • Assess risks, review compliance gaps, and prepare due diligence reports.

3. Project Coordination

  • Collaborate with internal teams and partners to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Provide data analysis, project updates, and progress reports.
  • Support portfolio planning, scheduling, and stakeholder engagement.

4. Administrative & Technical Support

  • Assist in organizing meetings, workshops, and consultations.
  • Maintain proper project documentation and data repositories.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

  • Experience in grant management, project management, or financial oversight is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience with international organizations or donor-funded projects is an asset.

Language

  • Fluency in English is required. Additional UN languages are an advantage.
